Four years ago I wrote a post inviting everyone to join us for the GeriPal / Pallimed #HPMParty. It breaks my heart just reading it:
“Just so you know and can mark it on your calendars from here to eternity, it has a standing reserved spot on Thursday night at 9pm local time the week of the Annual Assemblies of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA)”
Well, as we all know, a global pandemic got in the way of enjoying each other’s company for the last three years, but that’s about to change. Why? Because we are back. And this time, we are doing it in French.
Yup, we are restarting the #HPMParty in Montreal at the 2023 AAHPM/HPNA meeting. We will be doing our traditional Tournée des bars (pub crawl per Google translate) starting at Philemon bar at 9pm on Thursday, March 23rd. Around 10:30pm we will move on to the next destination, Pub St-Paul. Like always though, these are rough estimates of time, so if you want to know the details, follow the hashtag #HPMparty on Twitter.
To be clear, this is not an official part of either meeting, but it is a time where we can all get together for some drinks, some songs, and maybe, just maybe some late night beignets. And as always, feel free to invite and bring any colleagues or new friends with you as this is not an exclusive crowd. Also, if you have trainees coming to the meeting, make sure you send them the invite. The more, the merrier.
